About

The Book

James may have left us, but his legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched, including family, friends, teammates, opposition players, coaches and fans.

It’s these people who former SA Rugby magazine editor Simon Borchardt and veteran rugby writer and author Gavin Rich asked to tell their personal stories about James.

They have been written in the voice of those who told them and provide unique insight into James as a player and a person.

Appearing in a 296-page limited-edition, hardcover book alongside never-before-published photos of James, readers can expect to reminisce, laugh out loud and shed a tear or two.
